Alt Tech - Don't get cancelled

Just thought I'd put this up for people to share alternative types of social media and internet tools to use when you may notice that certain sites/streams or voices get cancelled.
There are alternatives to most social media if you don't like using the main companies, some of the good, some a bit shit.
Please post up your experiences of them, or post up your own ideas of alternatives to Youtube, facebook etc
Rumble (Youtube video streaming site) - very good, not quite as slick as YT, but easy to search for content and pro-free speech, does not de-monetise unless users incite violence or break laws in local country
Gab - (Twitter alternative, but now offers GabTV (yt) and various other plug ins) - promotes free speech, does not allow incitement to violence (founder is christian but allows atheists and satanists to post)
Bitchute - (YT alt) - clunky but lots of content, maybe some dodgy stuff
Telegram - (Whatsapp/IM alt) - easy to use, very good app (Russian owned and hosted)
Yandex - (gmail/google alt) - again russian owned and hosted but reliable, fast and does not seem to censor
Would be interested in your experience/opinions on these and other ideas for alt platforms.

I offer this as censorship is becoming more and more prevalent, you may notice more and more that its harder and harder to find alternative voices or info on the internet.
If you wish to make the case for why fb, yt, twitter and google are the only sites we should use, please do so.

Find Rumble ok, been usingbit for a month or so.
Tried bitchute a while back but found content wouldnt load half the time so gave up.
Still use you tube but the boundaries are getting ever narrower,shame as in its day it was by far the the best site out there for what interested me.

Yet you still look for them and find them. Why?
Personally I am only on facebook and use it to communicate with friends I don't see very often and post up photos (sometimes of my cat). Politics doesn't enter it apart from the odd joke.
Feel free to disappear down your personal rabbit hole though but not for me,

Not sure I want to make that case but I use them all (as well as TikTok) the reason why is VOLUME if I want to find hundreds (nay thousands) of videos on my favourite subjects I'm going to YouTube, similarly if I want to find interesting things to follow I'm going to Twitter
Not really sure why I still have Facebook and it annoys me everytime I go onto it
Why should I NOT use them?

I think what was bothering me was the way they hoovered up other apps, then changed the terms of service.
I used whatsapp with quite a few mates and colleagues as its private. They now share all your dm's with fb, meaning potentially a future employer could access your private messages.

Personally Ive never understood why people link their professional and personal personas online
I'm on LinkedIn but no employer would be able to make the link between me there and me here

Another alternative site is Odysee. Some of the right of centre Youtube bloggers have started posting content on there, to ensure they have a platform, should Youtube ban them

I signed up to odysee a couple of weeks ago. Good thing about these sites is its giving prominent people smaller hiding places.
